As endless hype surrounds the release of Windows 7, it seemed coincidental (or completely brilliant) that Apple would launch a new round of commercials. New reports are showing that the campaign that Apple used to target potential Windows 7 purchasers did the trick to re-direct potential buyers. Preliminary data released Sunday by Net Applications shows that Mac OS X's Internet share growing by 2.73%. Windows Internet presence fell from 92.77%-92.54% its ninth loss in 12 months. Keep in mind that Net Applications is not measuring share of market in sales revenue or unit sales, rather, it tracks the presence of the different various operating systems on the Internet. Regardless of what you may have thought of Windows Vista, Windows 7 is a big step forward in terms of both performance and reliability. Any system that seems sluggish running Vista can certainly benefit and show new life with an upgrade to Windows 7. It improves all aspects of the Windows experience.
